Now, the members of Cheap Trick have spoken up and the want to know what caused the stage to collapse after their set.

Here's what the band's manager Dave Frey had to say about it:

Both Brett Ratner and Don Mischer got the lucky taps, honoring Ratner with his first run and Mischer with his second.

Though no explanation is really needed for these two, President Sherak enthusiastically describes his decision:

I was so impressed with Brett when I met with him to discuss the Oscar show. He has an incredible love of film and its history and is a true student of the business of movies. He’s unbelievably creative and knows how to take risks that are both interesting and inspiring. Together with Don Mischer – who, by the way, just earned an Emmy nomination for his work on the 83rd Academy Awards – I think these two will give us a fantastic Oscar show that you won’t want to miss.

It's so sad that Amy Winehouse is back on the top of charts for the reason it is.

Eight days after her passing, her album Back to Black has climbed back to the top of almost every chart out there, and now that includes the UK charts too -- and her first album was able to reach #5 again.

"The Grammy award-winning album was also No. 1 in 2006 when it was released. Also on Sunday, Winehouse's debut album "Frank" reached No. 5.

Winehouse has also left a trove of unreleased music, but no decision has been made about whether it will be released."

We're also curious as to how her unreleased music will be treated, but we're in the camp that it would be even more of a tragedy if nobody got to hear it. Her voice was her life, to continue that would be incredible!

We're still worked up over such a loss. So sad.

A recent issue of In Touch magazine reportedly quotes Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman claiming that "I hate babies, they disgust me" and that she locks herself in the bathroom and cries, but according to her, nothing the publication wrote is true - because she never even gave them an interview!

Natalie Morales, Angel Laketa Moore, and Jo Koy, who all appeared in the pilot episode, have been given the axe, for what an NBC spokesperson claims to be "creative reasons." Apparently, the roles will be "re-conceived" for the full series.

Personally, from what we could see from the previews, the problems with that show go FAR beyond casting, so we hope that the creative powers that be can get it together before it gets canned three or four episodes in!

Which in most cases would mean making sure everyone is provided with snacks and water and are aware of where the exits are, should they need to escape for some fresh air. But when you're dealing with A-list celebrities, it's a whole new ballgame.

Take for instance the green room. This backstage area will be provided to presenters such as Nicole Kidman and Alec Baldwin so they can kick back, have a cocktail, relax and prepare for their moments onstage. And in order to soothe their nerves and generate a few good laughs, the room will be transformed into an elegant and luxurious retreat. And when we say elegant and luxurious, we aren't kidding.

The furniture, which includes mini vignettes, leather sofas, marble coffee tables and Murano glass vases, will be provided by Fendi Casa, the home-design collection for Fendi. The pieces will be covered with classic neutrals, such as ivory, pearl and gray, while accented with touches of black, chocolate and deep purple. You get the idea? And that's certainly not all ...

The green room will also be decorated throughout with glass casings featuring jewels from the world's leading diamond company, the House of Graff. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings and watches are placed throughout to add to the feel of the elegant, comfortable retreat.

Last night David and I braved the rain so that we could grab a drink in West Hollywood so that we could get some fresh air out of the house. We talked about going to a movie but couldn’t decide on what to see so we decided to just go bar hopping instead. We made a pilgrimage to The Abbey in West Hollywood so that we could visit the memorial set up for the late Elizabeth Taylor and drink a toast in her honor.

The Abbey was one of Taylor‘s favorite nightspots in LA and she would frequently show up at the bar to visit with her throngs of gay fans. The portrait of her pictured above has been on display at The Abbey for years … and it has now become a memorial in her honor. The New York Times even published a piece on the Abbey‘s memorial to Elizabeth Taylor … it’s a great read. It’s still very sad to know that Dame Elizabeth is no longer with us but her memory will live on forever.

Our friends Michael and Sam joined us for a drink last night and we had a great time hanging out. Tonight, David and I will be going to the Music Box to see Oh Land and OMD in concert. This will be my 3rd Oh Land concert in two months and my first time seeing OMD live in concert. The weekend is here, y’all!! I hope you have a great one!!

During a recent interview, 8-year-old Britney Campbell of San Francisco claimed that her mother, Kerry, injects her with Botox so she'll "become a star":
"My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like [...]

"New York has Irish pubs you can have a pint in and restaurants that do a traditional roast. L.A. is a completely alien culture. And because everyone drives, they don’t tend to drink much. Try ordering a second bottle of wine at an L.A. restaurant and they call in the Betty Ford Center."
