A Sundance Tale: Liam Hemsworth Introduces An MTV Staffer To A World Of Pain

By Daniela Capistrano
Once upon a time, on a snowy day during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, our intrepid and unsuspecting Managing Editor Josh Horowitz interviewed actor Liam Hemsworth.

Little did Josh know, he was in for some one-on-one action.
After revealing his interest in the adaptation of "Hunger Games," the audacious Aussie leaped at the [...]

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Around this time last year, Elizabeth Olsen was known — if she was know at all — as the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley. She was enrolled in NYU’s theatre program and had been auditioning for Broadway and Off-Broadway plays. But she’d made the conscious decision to avoid the career arc — filled with Hollywood highs and tabloid lows — of her sisters.

Only last January did she begin actively seeking out movie work. Now here she is at the Sundance Film Festival, about to achieve breakout status based on her two new films, “Silent House” and “Martha Marcy May Marlene.” It’s been a long time coming for the 21-year-old, but it was worth the wait if it meant not being exposed to the same spotlight that Mary-Kate and Ashley were as pre-teen stars.

Deciding How Many Microphones and What Kind

Few can forget the images of Yo-Yo Ma at President Obama's inauguration, performing in frigid 30-degree weather along with Itzhak Perlman, Gabriela Montero, and Anthony McGill. The musicians didn't appear to be cold, but you had to wonder how they resisted shivering. Below freezing is probably a little too cold for most musicians, but still, winter gigs can be fun, even if it's as simple as caroling with friends.

Obtain Legal Royalty Free Music

Christmas is the most anticipated and celebrated holiday of the year. This is the time when most families come together some to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ while others as a way of uniting. Whichever the aim of Christmas is, all that is evident is the celebration. The businesses embrace the spirits by the incorporation of sweet melodies to reflect the occasion. One of the greatest kinds of music that one can use is the royalty free Christmas music.

Discovering The Best iTunes Organizer Program

Integrated mixers/recorders/effects processors have become quite common. Cassette port-a-studios, first introduced in the 1970s, enable the home recordist to compose music at home without spending a fortune on equipment. But it wasn't until the Roland VS-880 came out in 1997 that great-quality recordings could be made at home using a single piece of equipment.

Justin Bieber, who is like an angel fallen from heaven to bless us pitious humans here on Earth with his blessed presence, was photographed just moments after he awoke from gentle slumber while vacationing in Miami, FL. Other photos from this particular morning have been making the blog rounds but those photos feature Biebs in his underwear … which I am not really comfortable posting here. The photos below feature the just awoken lamb in his PJ sweat pants. Enjoy.

Try not to lose your minds, Beliebers … I know the sight of your idol shirtless is enough to drive some of you crazy. I think these photos are just hilar … I mean, yes, we all look like this when we wake up (tho some of us do have post-pubescent body hair) but it’s kinda funny to see a wee popstar like Justin Bieber lookin’ so fresh-faced first thing in the morning. I’d be very curious to know if Biebs plans on having his girlfriend Selena Gomez over for a sleep over. I guess we’ll have to wait and see … tho, the sight of both Justin and Selena first thing in the morning might be much too much to see. HMMM.

Tips On How To Clean Your Acoustic Guitar

Without a doubt one of the true giants of jazz tenor saxophone is Sonny Rollins. Born in Harlem, New York in 1930 Sonny began studying piano and alto saxophone at age 11. When Sonny turned 16 he switched to tenor saxophone in order to emulate one of his idols, the great Coleman Hawkins, who lived in his neighborhood. Thus began the development of one of the most unique and influential voices in jazz saxophone history.
